Illusion Theater to Host CD Release Concert Monday, July 21st, 2008 Minneapolis, MN - Singer/Actress Aimee K. Bryant returns to Illusion's stage following a weekend run of her one-woman show, Child of God, to perform music from her premiere CD, Becoming, on July 28, 2008. She will be joined by Thomas West on keyboard, Yohannes on bass, and Kevin Washington on drums with special guest T. Mychael Rambo. The evening begins at 6pm with light appetizers in the lobby, then proceeds into the theater at 7pm for the performance. Beverages will be sold including beer and wine, and Aimee will be on-hand following the show to sell and sign CDs. Admission is free.
	Amy Anderson Kicks Off 2008 Fresh Ink Series at Illusion Theater Wednesday, June 25th, 2008 This week, Illusion ignites its 2008 Fresh Ink Series, a series of new works by some of the most inventive, creative, inspired artists who have or who are working in Twin Cities' Theater. Illusion's Producing Director Bonnie Morris says, "These artists are coming up with work that speaks honestly and often hilariously about the important things that are happening in our world right now. 	2008 Fresh Ink Series opens at Illusion Theater Wednesday, May 21st, 2008 Now is its 21st year, Illusion Theater announces this summer's lineup of fresh new works by some of the most inventive, creative, inspired artists working in Twin Cities' Theater. Illusion's Producing Director Bonnie Morris says, "We are excited to share the talents and imaginations of this year's Fresh Ink artists as they reflect on, comment on, and illuminate our times and tribulations."
	Illusion Theater presents Crash Dance Productions Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 Local dance company Crash Dance Productions (CDP) is the first semi-professional company to bring contemporary lyrical to the Twin Cities. After its debut show in January 2008 at the Illusion Theater in the Hennepin Center for the Arts, word about the group spread quickly throughout the Minneapolis arts scene. Twenty-five talented dancers are now rehearsing for their second season "As We Are", which will run June 20-21 at the Illusion Theater.
	Milwaukee Mask & Puppet Theatre to perform The Ballad of Josef K at Illusion Theater Tuesday, April 15th, 2008 (Minneapolis, MN) The Ballad of Josef K, a musical adaptation of Franz Kafka's The Trial, will be performed at Illusion Theater during May by the Milwaukee Mask and Puppet Theatre. Life-sized puppets perform the tale of Josef K, a bank clerk who finds himself accused of unknown crimes. As he struggles to discover the nature of the charges against him and establish his innocence, he only becomes further entangled in the inexplicable world of a secret court.
	Illusion Theater presents Autistic License for Autism Awareness Month Monday, March 31st, 2008 Back by popular demand, Illusion Theater will present a series of performances of Autistic License by Stacey Dinner-Levin during the month of April for Autism Awareness Month.
	Jeffrey Hatcher's Mrs. Mannerly opens at Illusion Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 First introduced to audiences during last summer's Fresh Ink Series, Mrs. Mannerly emerges from the incorrigibly funny imagination of Illusion Theater audience favorite Jeffrey Hatcher. Inspired by an etiquette class from his youth, Hatcher creates a world of seven-year-olds studying manners in which one student in the class stands out, the one with the Double-O-Seven briefcase. Directed by Illusion's Producing Director Michael Robins, the production stars Barbara June Patterson and Phyllis Wright.
	Illusion & Pillsbury House Theatres work together to produce rare gem Friday, January 11th, 2008 Illusion Theater and Pillsbury House Theatre will co-produce Samuel G. Roberson Jr.'s first play, Same Difference, in February 2008. Featuring actors Jermaine Small and Darien Johnson, Same Difference will be directed by Anton Jones with James A. Williams serving as a Creative Advisor to the production.
	The Lighthouse presents the 2008 Lights Up! Series This year the Lighthouse Group, part of Illusion Theater, will light up the dark days of January with the Lights Up! Series. The Lighthouse Group is an ensemble of young artists committed to supporting emerging artists and producing new work. Noah Bremer, Nathan Christopher, Ellen Fenster, Katie Guentzel, Lindsay Hinman, Kris Lencowski and Claudia Vazquez comprise the group. 2008 marks the third year of the Lighthouse Group's Lights Up! Series. This year they present three vastly different performance pieces that showcase their individual talents.
	Martini & Olive Celebrate the New Year at Illusion Monday, December 10th, 2007 Ring in the New Year with Martini & Olive's Holiday Happy Hour, original musical comedy by Judy Heneghan, Grant Richey, and Peter Staloch. This satirical 70's comedy duo brings their hilarious show to Illusion Theater, spreading their unique merriment in the Twin Cities for the 14th year!
