Heather Bunch is a life-long advocate that every body can move and every person has a story to tell. Having trained in London, England as a physical theater artist, she has spent over a decade teaching, acting, and writing plays that tell stories using the body as canvas. Heather recently moved to Missoula, Montana, where she is now the Program Coordinator for Turning the Wheel Missoula. Here she is exploring how the arts can heal, and how our bodies and stories can activate this healing, using theater and dance to teach social and emotional learning, from ages 3-93. She is so thrilled to be back in the Twin Cities for a brief stint, working with Transatlantic Love Affair!
Peytie McCandless (she/they) is an actor, singer, theater teacher, director and Global Somatics(TM) Practitioner from Minneapolis, MN and Portland, OR. She performed with Transatlantic Love Affair in the previous two iterations of These Old Shoes, the 2015 MN Fringe Festival production of 105 Proof, and both the Fringe and remounted Illusion productions of Ash Land. In the Twin Cities, they have also performed with Theatre Pro Rata, Theatre Unbound, Freshwater Theatre, and Chameleon Theatre Circle. Eric Nelson is so glad to be with friends old and new in this remount of These Old Shoes -- and is thrilled that the Illusion invited us into their new space! Allison Vincent (she/her) is a performer, director, writer, deviser, and educator. She has been honored to collaborate with companies and theaters across the Twin Cities, including The History Theater, Jon Ferguson Theater, The Four Humors, Mainly Me, The Illusion, The Guthrie, Frank Theatre, Sod House, Strike Theatre, Transatlantic Love Affair, and Walking Shadow. In addition to performing, Allison is a collaborative artistic director and founding member of Transatlantic Love Affair, a teaching artist at the Guthrie Theater, a 2022 Naked Stages Fellow, and has collaborated as a writer on over twenty produced scripts.
Chasya Hill is a Liberian-American actress and vocalist from Birmingham, Alabama who has been based in Minneapolis since 2019. She received a BA in Theatre Arts from Carleton College. She is a proud graduate of the Alabama School of Fine Arts. Her recent theatre credits include: Dangerous Productions (All Your White Darlings), Wild Conspiracy (Queen B), (Saber MN), Playable Artworks (Instructions for a Habitat Inventory), Sandbox Theatre (Bone Mother). She continues to explore her passion for abstract movement, physical comedy, world music and innovative reimaginings of traditional stories. She is fascinated by the power of consciously inclusive, visually rich, acoustically thoughtful, highly physical styles of storytelling to appeal to diverse contemporary audiences.
Derek Lee Miller is an actor, writer, designer, builder and musician. He has previously been on the Illusion stage with Transatlantic Love Affair in Ballad of the Pale Fisherman (2011), Red Resurrected (2013), Ashland (2014), 105 Proof (2016) and After the Fires (2020), and he directed TLA's The Privateer (2017). You may have also seen him at the Fringe Festival and the Twin Cities Horror Festival with The Winding Sheet Outfit in Blood Nocturne (2018), You Are Cordially Invited to the Life and Death of Edward Lear (2019), When Your Love Sets You On Fire (2020), The Darger Project (2021), Årsgång (2022), and Stabby Stab Stab (2022). Derek is a founding ensemble member of Transatlantic Love Affair, the former Artistic Director of Sandbox Theatre, and the illustrator of the children's book, The Princess in the Clouds. Adelin Phelps* (She/her/hers) is thrilled to be back with Transatlantic Love Affair! She is a Minneapolis based stage, film and voice over artist. She has worked and created with the Jungle Theater, The Guthrie Theater, Yellow Tree Theater, New Dawn Theatre Company, History Theatre, Park Square Theatre, Girl Friday Productions, Carlyle Brown & Company, Theater Latté Da, Dark & Stormy Productions, and more. Jeff A. Miller (he/him) is an actor, musician, and visual artist. Recent credits include Švec (+ drums, mandolin, guitar, bass) for Once at Duluth Playhouse and DalekoArts, guitar and mandolin for Pyrates at Theatre Coup d’Etat, guitar for The Rocky Horror Show at Phoenix Theater, and lead character Mark in the UK bound new folk musical The Regulars. Diogo Lopes studied at the Academia Contemporânea do Espectáculo in Porto, Portugal, and at LISPA (London International School of Performing Arts). He has been performing, devising, teaching, and directing Physical Theatre and Clown since 2001 in Portugal, Spain, France, the UK, and the USA. In the Twin Cities, he has performed with Live Action Set, the Children’s Theatre Company, Theater Forever, and Theatre Novi Most among others. in 2016 he Assisted Directed for Sense and Sensibility at The Guthrie Theater. With Transatlantic Love Affair, Diogo has conceived and directed Ash Land and These Old Shoes, Solitaire, 105 Proof, and Promise Land. In 2015 he was honored with the National Theater Conference's Outstanding Emerging Professional Award.
The Champagne Drops are comprised of Leslie Vincent and Emily Dussault. From jazzy standards to original indie hits, this female duo runs the gamut of musical genres and styles. In 2021, they released their debut album, Side By Side. Both Emily and Leslie are no strangers to the stage—for the past decade, they’ve performed in plays and musicals across the Twin Cities. Haley Walsh* is a freelance AEA stage manager based in the Twin Cities. She has worked with Collide Theatrical Dance Company, History Theatre, Mixed Blood Theatre, Theater Mu, Pillsbury House Theatre, Park Square Theatre, and Minnesota Jewish Theatre (now Six Points), among others. When she's not stage managing, you can find her working as an event coordinator. This is her first show with Transatlantic Love Affair.

Garvin Jellison is a freelance lighting designer, stage manager, and production manager. Graduating from The Theatre School at DePaul University, he started his career in Chicago, working with Joffrey Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and many local dance and theater companies. Garvin spent time on the road with William Shatner, Anthony Bourdain, Bill Nye, and other celebrity personalities on touring productions while working for a national arts presenter in Chicago. Other touring work included Wild Kratts Live!, where he was Production Manager for 5 years. Closer to home, he has worked extensively in the Twin Cities dance community as a lighting designer and stage manager. He is currently Production Manager for Trinity Irish Dancer Company, and Head Electrician at The Cowles Center for Dance and Performing Arts. Really circling back to his roots, Garvin got his start in the industry as an intern at Illusion Theater back in 2007.
