“
This Thurgood is genial and avuncular, a man with a sharp sense of humor and a briefcase full of illustrative stories.”
“Very humourous in spots and a MUST SEE 4 any HS Civics or Intro to Law class. Marshall paved the way for what is now a far more diverse Supreme Court, but, sadly, not much has really changed overall. The set was very reflective of a simple man with a powerful mind and drive. Craven, himself, is a very fine actor who I saw in August Wilson’s “Jitney” last Fall at Penumbra Theatre.”
We know about Martin Luther King and about Malcolm X. What do you know about the other visionary leader of the Civil Rights' Movement: Thurgood Marshall?
Coming from a childhood in Baltimore, Thurgood Marshall became a lawyer and eventually a Supreme Court Justice. Thurgood was a one of the architects of the American Civil Rights Movement including the landmark Brown vs Board of Education case. This is an eye-opening, humorous and uplifting portrait of a true American hero.
